Meet Shawn Thursby-Palmer, FNP, MSN

Shawn Thursby-Palmer, FNP, MSN, is a dedicated healthcare professional with a focus on aesthetics and skin care. Having completed his education at West Coast University, Shawn has become a respected pediatric clinical instructor and a member of the Board of Registered Nursing. His career has taken him around the world, where he has trained with leading experts in the field of cosmetic injections. Shawn’s passion for enhancing natural beauty and his commitment to patient satisfaction set him apart as a practitioner. At Beyond The Needle Medspa, he combines his expertise with a personal touch, ensuring that each client receives the highest standard of care.

Meet Morgan Pope, RN, MSN

My journey into nursing was inspired by my grandmother, who immigrated to the U.S. from Germany with nothing but determination. She put herself through NURSING school while raising two young children, and her resilience shaped my passion for caregiving.
I graduated high school in YUCCA VALLEY, CA, and began my nursing career in 2010. Since then, I’ve worked as an emergency/trauma room nurse, where I discovered my love for teaching. This passion led me to earn my Master’s in Nursing Education. Today, I serve as the Course Director for both the Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and the Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC).

In 2018, I ventured into aesthetics, forming a strong bond with my friend and mentor Shawn, who gave me the opportunity to grow in this field. I now manage and inject at Beyond the Needle, where I’m also deeply invested in helping weight loss clients achieve life-changing results—a role that has quickly become one of my greatest joys.

Outside of nursing, I’m passionate about fitness, having overcome years of yo-yo dieting to stay consistent with my health goals. I also love spending time with my family and friends and enjoying trips to the river with loved ones.
Every step of my journey has been fueled by a desire to empower others, whether it’s in the ER, the classroom, or the aesthetics clinic.
